Tony Collman joins underwriting agency
Gresham Underwriting has hired former Arista executive Tony Collman as its new chief underwriting officer.
He was previously head of liability at Arista, a commercial managing general agency (MGA) now owned by Towergate.
Collman has also held roles at insurers Chartis (now AIG) and NIG.
Collman said: “The reason I accepted the role with Gresham was purely down to the management team and their ambitions for the company.
“You can see that this is an MGA looking to grow and make their mark in their sector but in the correct way. Gresham wants to work with insurers and brokers to grow and lead the MGA market.”
Gresham parent company Tasker Insurance Group chief executive Paul Tasker said: “We have some ambitious growth plans for Gresham and are keen to have the right team in place to support this. Tony’s experience means he will be a great fit with the team and he understands the company ethos.”
