Former Venture Preference co-chief executives are believed to be considering returning to the insurance sector after leaving the AXA-owned broking group
Former Venture Preference co-chief executives Paul Meehan and Chris Blackham are believed to be considering returning to the insurance sector after leaving the broking giant last week.
Meehan is understood to have already received an offer from a major broker only days after leaving AXA-owned Venture Preference.
He could also be looking to develop a consulting business. A company, Meehan Corporate Consulting, was incorporated on 23 January 2008, according to documents filed with Companies House.
Well-placed sources said Venture Preference boss Stuart Reid would not object if Meehan worked for a rival broking firm.
It is not clear whether any restrictive covenants in Meehan’s contract with AXA would limit this.
Blackham is also believed to be keen to take up a role within the insurance sector, possibly with an insurer. It is understood that restrictive covenants in his employment contract with AXA do not prevent him working for an insurer.
Last week, Blackham and Meeham departed Venture Preference after Reid was promoted to sole chief executive of the broking business.
Blackham and Meehan were unavailable to comment.
