Role will involve overseeing broking operations in Bermuda.
Willis Group Holdings has announced the appointment of Vince McGeehan as executive vice president and managing director of Willis Bermuda.
McGeehan is responsible for the company’s insurance broking operations in Bermuda. He brings 35 years experience to his new role with Willis.
Jonathon Atkinson, CEO, Willis North America - Bermuda and London, said: “Vince has extensive experience in the Bermudian and U.S. markets, and under his leadership, we expect to further enhance our retail service offerings in Bermuda. Vince’s appointment underscores our ongoing commitment to Bermuda as an important hub for Willis. We are delighted he has joined our team.”
McGeehan previously served as senior vice president, casualty, for ACE Bermuda, the Bermuda-based division of the ACE Group of Companies.
Prior to joining ACE in 2000, he was executive vice president of Aon Bermuda for six years and before that, president and CEO of Aon Financial Services in New York for seven years. He has also held various positions at Aon subsidiaries, including national sales manager for Scarborough & Co.
