Former HIBL executives handed new roles
Marsh is adding to its UK national corporate leadership team following the completion of its acquisition of HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited (HIBL) on 1 April.
The appointments include senior executives from both Marsh and HIBL. With immediate effect, they will have responsibility over the combined operation in their respective areas.
The Southern region will be led by Tom Ernoult, the central region by former HIBL employee Peter Mellor, the Northern region by Paul Fairhurst and the Scottish region by Audrey Corfield.
John Nicholson will remain chairman of Marsh Scotland, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man and a member of the Marsh UK Board with responsibility for risk and governance. Allan McPherson will remain national sales leader; Mike Still, national service director; and, Graeme MacMillan, placement leader.
In addition to the geographic leadership team, Marsh has also announced leaders of its national corporate practice groups. Andrew Jackson will lead the financial and professional practice. Former HIBL employees Philip Lazell and Iain Maitland will lead the construction and real estate practice and trade credit practice respectively.
Marsh also announced the creation within national corporate of a new strategic client practice and complex risks group to be headed by David Carlile, previously of HIBL. He will be joined by David Harvey who will work with him to establish the practice.
