Businesses recovering from financial crisis are still mindful of risks and are using insurance to protect balance sheets - Marsh
Marsh has appointed David Bramall as head of placement within its national corporate business.
The national corporate business provides risk and insurance services to corporate businesses and small and medium-sized (SME) enterprises.
In his new role, Bramall will oversee Marsh’s placement strategy and provide support to Marsh’s regional placement teams across UK and Ireland.
He will also report to Tim Pritchard, who is head of placement for Marsh’s UK and Ireland corporate business.
Pritchard said: “David has an incisive understanding of how insurance can contribute to a client’s competitiveness and brings extensive placement experience to the national corporate practice.
“He will play a pivotal role in steering our regional placement teams to deliver insurance solutions that mitigate the risks facing our corporate and SME clients in the UK and Ireland.”
Bramall joined Marsh in 2008 and was previously head of casualty placement in the risk management practice, which serves the firm’s multinational clients in the UK.
Bramall added: “Although businesses across the UK and Ireland are beginning to recover from the financial crisis, many are still mindful of the risks they face and are using insurance to protect their balance sheets from debt and losses.
“I look forward to working with our regional placement teams and the insurance market to deliver solutions that contribute to our clients’ success.”
