Broker expands its Product Risk Practice

Marsh has boosted its product risk expertise in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with the appointment of two consultants to its Global Product Risk Practice.

The latest hires follow the appointment of Sarah Richmond as a risk consultant in October.

Based in Marsh’s London office, Tracey Bensted and Hester Shaw will provide professional consulting services for manufacturing clients who have an exposure to product recall, product tampering, product contamination, product safety or liability issues.

Bensted joins Marsh from The Body Shop (Health and Beauty Division), where she was head of quality.

Prior to joining Marsh, Shaw worked as an Innovation Project Manager for Unilever (Foods Division) within the New Vitality Platforms category.

Jeremy Moore, leader of the EMEA Product Risk Practice, said: “Food security and supply chain vulnerability rank among the biggest risks facing firms globally in 2008.

"In Europe, growing consumer demands and more acute regulatory requirements are adding to these pressures.

"Tracey and Hester have broad experience across a wide range of food and non-food sectors across the region which will prove invaluable to our clients as we continue to grow our business.”
