Markel UK launches first PL broker e-trade product

Markel UK has launched its first personal lines product on its broker e-trading platform.

The product is designed for private collectors, and gives bespoke cover for art and other items.

Markel claims the product offers superior cover to most household policies.

Markel senior underwriter Richard Norman said: “The standalone policy removes the need for many collectors to upgrade their contents insurance to a high net worth contract, which can be both disproportionate and expensive. Available on our established e-trading platform, it’s a cost-effective solution for all parties with minimum premiums starting at just £100, with no excess.”
