Markel strengthens Asia Pacific team

Markel International has appointed Simon Moi as senior professional and financial risks underwriter in its Singapore office, which serves as a hub for business across Asia Pacific.

Before joining Markel, Moi was practice leader within Chubb Specialty Insurance’s financial institutions division in Hong Kong. He also spent four years as a casualty underwriter for General & Cologne Re, focusing on the Greater China region.

In his new role he will be responsible for developing Markel’s professional indemnity (PI) and directors’ and officers’ business across Asia Pacific. His appointment will help Markel Singapore continue to develop its account in Singapore and Malaysia in particular whilst also expanding its reach into the northern part of Asia.
