Rohan Davies appointed as energy underwriter
Markel International Singapore, the Asian operation of specialty property and casualty insurer Markel International, has announced the appointment of energy underwriter, Rohan Davies.
Rohan will join to expand the existing team and will assist in the development of the portfolio of energy business offered by newly opened Markel International Singapore.
Peter Phillips, managing director of Markel International Singapore, said: “We are delighted to have an underwriter of Rohan’s caliber coming on board. We are confident that his background in London, together with his first-hand underwriting experience in the US and Asian markets will significantly enhance Markel’s position in the rapidly expanding energy sector in Asia.”
Rohan will join Markel in early January 2008 from the Singapore office of Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe.
