Markel International, a property and casualty insurer, has announced the launch of a new general liability offering to sit alongside its professional indemnity products.
David Jones, managing director of Markel's professional liability division, commented: “There is a clear opportunity for a new entrant to succeed in the UK and international liability market. Markel is particularly well placed to take advantage of this opportunity due to its existing framework and relationships as well as its current coverholder arrangements. We have a clear aim: to prudently develop a profitable book of principally international primary business.”
Markel's new offering will provide a stand-alone general liability offering plus combined packages to include general third party, professional indemnity, directors & officers and commercial crime.
