Germany, Spain, Russia and Italy on the radar
Loss recovery company Lorega is set to expand into Europe, John Sims, its chief executive, told Insurance Times this week.
Sims said that the company, which acts for clients making claims, was examing opportunities in Germany, Spain, Russia and Italy.
He said: “We’re in the process of researching three of those territories. We’re looking for partnerships with larger brokers – it’s a simple model and we hope to have business flowing soon in one of these territories, probably by September.”
Malcolm Harvey, Lorega’s chaiman, is spearheading the expansion. Sims is focusing on new deals with insurers and brokers in the UK, following its agreements with Aon Private Clients and Sterling.
