Mike Riddick set to boost P&I team
Lockton has appointed Mike Riddick as an executive director in the Marine Hull team, part of Lockton’s Global Risks Division.
Riddick’s primary role will be to develop new business and build on Lockton’s existing strengths in P&I.
Riddick said: “In a market where costs for ship owners and charterers are rising, and economic conditions mean that earnings are being squeezed, clients are very cost conscious. That’s where brokers can really make the difference."
Riddick, who joined on 7 April 2009, started his career 29 years ago in the underwriting department of the Standard P&I Association before working with an independent specialist. For the past 14 years he has been an international broker with Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
Paul Jack, executive chairman of Lockton Global Risks Division, said: “The team is very much looking forward to Mike helping us strengthen the service we provide and generating more new business.”
