Lloyd's will remember the tragic events of September 11 in a special ceremony marking the one-year anniversary, it was confirmed today.

The service begins at 10.45am and will be held in the Underwriting Room of Lloyd's building, led by The Lloyd's Choir. Lloyd's Chairman Sax Riley will make a short speech.

Riley said: "This will be a solemn and simple ceremony of remembrance. The tragedy of September 11 struck at the heart of our community. We are closing the market for a short time so that people have a chance to remember and pay their respects."
