Consultancy boss Paul Taylor joins insurer’s board
AIG-owned Lloyd’s insurer Ascot Underwriting has appointed Paul Taylor as an independent non-executive director and chair of its risk committee.
Taylor is the owner of Risk Management Options, a risk, insurance and corporate governance consultancy.
Before starting Risk Management Options, Taylor spent more than 20 years in risk management roles in large international companies, including head of risk management and insurance at Tetra Laval Group and director of risk assurance at Morgan Crucible.
He began his career at commercial property insurer FM Global in engineering and underwriting roles in the UK, US, Australia, Belgium and France.
Ascot Underwriting chief executive Andrew Brooks said: “[Taylor] brings a wealth of knowledge in risk management and insurance, and his international experience and global focus will be an asset to our business.”
Taylor added: “I am pleased to be part of the organisation and look forward to using my experience to help Ascot continue its success.”
