Liverpool Victoria is set to launch its first product under the ABC Insurance broker brand.
The broker will push into the motor market with the launch of private motor cover in the second half of 2007. It will be followed by a commercial SME product.
Liverpool Victoria will open the first two of its 10 proposed regional ABC offices in Yorkshire and the South East. It is anticipated that a third base will open after the broker starts trading in the second half of 2007.
Liverpool Victoria is thought to be looking at opening regional commercial offices in Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow.
The insurer acquired ABC in September and announced that it would be the brand to spearhead its entry into the broker market. The financial services giant is to plough £150m into growing its general insurance division.
Phil Bunker, former managing director of NIG, will head ABC. Liverpool Victoria is aiming to become a top five general insurer over the next five years, with a £150m investment plan.
