Inglis joins as Glasgow branch manager
Liberty Mutual Insurance (LMI) has announced the opening of its first branch in Scotland with the appointment of Caroline Inglis as branch manager for its new Glasgow office.
Inglis will report to head of business development and market relationships Mark Stephenson, and took up her post on 1 November. She joins from one of the world’s largest insurance brokers where she spent the past 11 years as a broker and as placement leader for the Scottish region. She has spent her career in the Scottish insurance market working for national brokers.
Plans for new office premises in Glasgow, to be located in the city centre, are currently being finalised with the team likely to move in early in the new year.
“This is the first time that Liberty will have a branch in Scotland, and it reflects not only our confidence in the continued expansion of our mid-market, commercial business insurance offering, but also the confidence we have in the future growth potential for business in Scotland,” Stephenson said.
“Caroline has many years of experience in the insurance market, and her broking background will ensure we deliver the quality of service that we believe will make for a compelling proposition for our broker partners in Scotland.”
