New team to be lead by Richard Coxon

Liberty International Underwriters Europe has formed a new, five person UK property team under the leadership of Richard Coxon who has joined the company as head of UK property.

Coxon has more than 22 years of underwriting experience. The team also includes the following appointments: Dermot Walsh, senior underwriter, Richard Brown, senior underwriter, John Nockolds, senior underwriter and Stuart Kenyon, senior risk manager.

Based in LIU Europe’s office in London’s Minster Court, the new team will offer core products in property damage, business interruption and risk management, and will focus on clients throughout the UK and Ireland with turnover of between £20m and £500m.

Paul Kurgo, head of LIU Europe’s UK and Ireland Commercial Unit, noted: “The creation of a UK Property Underwriting Department is the next step in our London and regional development. Under the leadership of Richard Coxon, we have a team with proven ability who will deliver property and risk management expertise, which complements the extensive range of products and services LIU Europe currently offers in our target markets.”
