Underwriter makes Bristol appointment to grow casualty expertise
Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), a division of leading global insurer Liberty Mutual Group, has boosted its regional casualty expertise through the appointment of Jonathan Powell to its Bristol office as regional assistant vice president, Casualty.
Powell joins from Liberty’s Melbourne office in Australia where he was National Excess & Umbrella portfolio manager and senior liability underwriter.
Having originally joined Liberty in 2001 as a senior casualty underwriter in Dublin, Powell has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years, beginning his career with Eagle Star Insurance Group and including a period spent in broking development with Willis.
