Waylett founder will stay with firm
Building repairs specialist LAS Claims Management has bought Waylett and Co, a building consultancy that gives advice on claims validation and repair.
The deal will see Waylett founder Peter Waylett continue to head up the company and he will stay with the firm for at least another year.
LAS chief executive Darren Cooper said: “We don’t want to be the UK’s biggest service provider within the building claims management sector, but we do want to be the best, and we are confident the acquisition of Waylett takes us another step towards meeting our longer term strategic aims.”
Waylett will still run independently and there are no redundancies planned for the firm’s 30 staff and 70 subcontractors.
Waylett said: “Darren and the LAS team’s strategic vision was compelling and I am delighted that the business I founded is becoming part of LAS.”
“We can take advantage of the heavy investment made by LAS in technology and client servicing. We didn’t have the resources to invest on this scale, but our clients will soon see the benefits.”
