Student accomodation risks are on the wane, according to new research by Accommodation for Students and Endsleigh.
The student accommodation website surveyed 500 landlords about student property. It found:
- 14% had suffered break-ins in either occupied or unoccupied properties
- 30% of landlords have fitted burglar alarms
- 76% have installed a fire alarm
- 64% of properties have 5-lever mortice locks
- 63% have window locks
- 94% have smoke alarms
