Insurance software house SSP has been restructured with new company Keychoice Distribution set to become the face of the SSP and Keychoice brands for independent brokers.
Keychoice Distribution will offer a single point of access for its 1000 brokers.
It will headed by Jonathan Davey and will incorporate the Keychoice Network and Keychoice Underwriting as well as managing the sale of SSP technology to brokers.
Davey said the change was a "fundamental shift" in the way the business dealt with brokers.
“With 1000 brokers having a relationship with different parts of the organisation, Keychoice Distribution brings them together and makes it easier for them to discover and use our various products and services," he said.
"We believe this will add value to their business and help them do things better, faster and more profitably. We’ll be responsive to their changing needs and continue to develop new products for their benefit.”
He added: “Pulling our underwriting agency, network and technology services together as Keychoice Distribution will generate value for our brokers and establish it as an even more important route to market for insurers and strengthen all of our existing partnerships.”
Laurence Walker, chief executive officer at SSP, said: “Bringing the insurance and IT parts of the business together means brokers don’t need to maintain relationships with different parts of the company.
“Instead they will be able to access everything they need from us through Keychoice Distribution, making life easier and helping them to work more effectively. We believe this is an intrinsic change in the way we do business and central in our evolution from being an IT centric business into being an insurance centric business.”
