Insurer announces management overhaul
Kerry London Group has announced that it will not replace former chief executive Damian Kissane, but is now looking for a managing director.
The appointment process is in its early stages, Insurance Times understands.
The firm has also announced an overhaul of its management structure that has seen founder and chairman Joe Kelliher (pictured) become lifetime president.
The Kerry London board has created an extra panel of executive board directors, who will decide strategy for the group.
In a statement, Kerry London said the shake-up was designed to give a “cohesive leadership structure” across the group, boost competitiveness and fuel further growth in 2013.
Kerry London vice-chairman Mike Coulbert has been appointed as chairman, and finance director Imogen Coggan has become group chief operating officer.
The changes have also affected the group’s subsidiaries. Coulbert has become executive director and chairman of Kerry London Ltd and Trade Direct Insurance, Coggan is executive director of the two arms and non-executive director Colin Calder has become senior non-executive director to the two.
Former group HR director Lindsey Visconti has joined both subsidiary boards as executive director.
Kelliher said: “I look forward to my renewed external focus in the knowledge that Kerry London Group has regained its competitive edge. We have a strong board to drive forward organisational growth and a robust executive team implementing our alignment strategy and operational delivery.”
He added that the firm is also investing in its IT infrastructure and e-commerce facilities.
