Team will handle claims, word creation and policy management for brokers
London market outsourcing and business services group, JMD Specialist Insurance Services (JMD), has announced the formation of a new broker services team.
The move continues JMD's growth following the launch of premium payment and processing reports for the market and the appointment of David Gittings as a non executive director earlier this year.
The new team will be led by Alistair Lang, he joined Lambourn Insurance Services in 2006 to head its Broker Services Division, which later became part of the Capita Group.
Another senior figure to tie up with JMD is Neil Shaw, who has joined JMD as a business development consultant to the Broker Services team.
Neil spent many years with brokers Sedgwick International and Sedgwick Offshore Resources before joining J. H. Minet and Co, where he became a board director prior to its purchase by Aon.
The new operation will offer a range of services to brokers, including claims legacy management, wordings creation and policy legacy management, broker replacement and pre and post binding quality assurance.
John Dewen, CEO of JMD, said: "The formation of our Broker Services team is an exciting new step for the company at a time when the market is looking long and hard at its costs and processes. London’s work on process reform has driven the need for brokers to streamline their operations and question whether they are obtaining value for money from both their internal and external support teams. JMD is now perfectly placed to offer a real alternative to the market when it comes to broker services.”
