Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) has won a Highland Council contract to provide it with a tenants contents insurance scheme.

It said the scheme would provide tenants with cover from 7p per day.

JLT said many council tenants assume they are automatically covered by the council in the event of a loss. This can often mean an unexpected bill in the event of a loss or damage to property.

Tony Fawcett of JLT's public risk sector, said: “We are very pleased to have been appointed by The Highland Council to provide this scheme.

“JLT public sector risk division has been working with local authorities and housing associations for 15 years and this experience has enabled us to provide a product that meets the needs of most tenants.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
