Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) has renamed its Municipal Risks division as Jardine Lloyd Thompson Public Risks Sector.
Mark Barnes, regional managing director of JLT Public Sector Risks, said: "The original remit of the Municipal division was to provide insurance packages for local authorities."
"Over recent years, we have extended our spheres of activity into other public sectors including the police, fire service and the NHS. We therefore feel that the name Public Sector Risks more adequately reflects the larger scope of our operations."
Services from JLT Public Sector Risks include insurance broking, risk management, tenants insurance products, claims management, risk funding, services for schools, and corporate governance.
