Claims outsourcing contract extended to include the creation of new roles within JLT's UK corporate offices
Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) Corporate Risks has extended its claims outsourcing agreement with Crawford & Company to include a further five UK-based JLT offices.
The partnership dates back to May 2003 when JLT outsourced its claims administration function for its London Corporate operation, utilising the services of Crawford’s specialist Third Party Claims Administration facilities based in Milton Keynes.
The resulting success led JLT to subsequently outsourcing the claims handling for other areas of its business, including those of its housing association, tenants’ risks and corporate recovery risks units. Alan Percival, national client service director for JLT Corporate Risks said: “Following extensive discussions with Crawford and a review of the benefits already realised by working with them, a decision was taken to further extend our outsourced facility.
"We successfully managed to transfer an additional six offices to Crawford over a period of 8-10 weeks culminating in completion of the project at the end of March 2007. We’re pleased with the result as the phased transfer by branch ensured a smooth transition and continuity of service for our clients.”
At the same time, JLT created new roles within its UK Corporate offices based in Manchester, Birmingham and London to further enhance the service provided to its clients. Claims Executives at these offices will concentrate on providing a client facing service to clients, coordinating the company’s service with Crawford & Company and individual JLT client service teams.
Ian Muress, Crawford’s Chief executive officer for Europe, Middle East & Africa said: “We are delighted that Jardine Lloyd Thompson has chosen to extend our contract. Crawford & Company prides itself on building long-term strategic partnerships with all our clients.”
JLT Corporate Risks Limited is a member of the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group, a leading provider of risk solutions, employee benefit and insurance services. The group employs more than 5,000 people in 30 countries and is the UK’s largest publicly quoted insurance broking group.
