JLT becomes title sponsors of Rapha Condor
JLT has entered into an agreement with London based companies, Rapha Racing and Condor Cycles, to be title sponsor of the UCI-registered pro continental cycling team in the UK.
In 2013, Rapha Condor JLT will continue to be a development team for the up and coming younger professional cyclists.
They team will be used as a platform from that young cyclists can move to an even bigger stage, such as the continental Grand Tour.
In addition, the team in 2013 will retain the services of current world team pursuit champion and double Olympic gold medallist Ed Clancy MBE, as well as cyclists Kristian House and Jimmy McCallum.
JLT Group chief executive Dominic Burke said: “We are delighted at the opportunity to become title sponsor of the leading British based Rapha Condor professional cycling team.
“Our support aligns ourselves with one of Britain’s most successful and fastest growing sports and its associated industry. Cycling is already a specialty risk that our insurance analysts are working on specifically and it is our desire that we expand our reach to provide services to this rapidly growing industry sector.”
JLT subsidiary Lloyd & Partners senior partner Charlie Pearch said: ‘‘Our participation in this venture with Rapha Condor fulfills our desire to help sport at grass roots level, particularly where our involvement can deliver meaningful value.”
