Non-executive director also steps down as chairman of nomination committee
Non-executive director Keith James has retired from the board of Admiral after deciding not to put himself up for re-election at the annual general meeting held yesterday.
James will also step down as chairman of the nomination committee and as a member of the audit committee, according to a company filing to the London Stock Exchange.
Admiral group chairman Alastair Lyons said: “Keith joined our Board in December 2002 and has been an integral part of our journey during a nine-year period over which the number of vehicles we insure has increased from 0.7 to 3.4 million, and our profits from £55m to £299m. He has contributed greatly to our effectiveness as a doard and I would like to thank him for his significant personal commitment to the Company and to wish him the very best for the future.”
Lyons has moved from being a member to chair of the nomination committee. Non-executive director, Colin Holmes, has stepped down as a member of the remuneration committee and has joined the nomination committee as a member. Non-executive director Roger Abravanel has joined the remuneration committee as a member.
