Injury prevention and rehabilitation specialist IPRS has opened a dedicated physiotherapy and rehab centre in Aston, Birmingham.
It said the IPRS Prism centre would be open to individuals who had been referred for treatment by their employer or insurer.
IPRS said the Birmingham centre was the first of a UK-wide network of regional facilities due to be opened by the company.
IPRS managing director David Bingham said: “We opted to set-up the first IPRS site in Birmingham because the Midlands is seen as the industrial heartland of the country.
“We anticipate the majority of our IPRS Prism clients to be employers who are sending injured employees for treatment and rehabilitation to assist them to return to work in the shortest and safest possible time.”
The rehabilitation company said that until now treatment had been given to clients at their own premises, or by IPRS's national network of associates. It said the network of regional centres would allow clients to refer patients of treatment as and when they needed it, ensuring costs were controlled.
