Kevin Sinclair to become managing director of online quote facility
iprism has appointed former AA managing director Kevin Sinclair as managing director.
Sinclair's appointment, effective as of 1 April, completes the iprism senior management team.
Sinclair said: "My time at AAI was invaluable and gave me a real taste for working in a highly entrepreneurial environment. This was something I was keen to continue into my next role and iprism offered the perfect opportunity to do just that."
Gary Burke, chief executive of iprism said that Sinclair rejected a range of offers before electing to join iprism. He said: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Kevin to the team. He had a range of options to consider since leaving AA Insurance. This coincided with exciting developments within iprism late last year, so I am very pleased we have managed to snatch him from the jaws of the competition.
"We deliberately waited to secure someone of the right calibre to fill this important role for iprism and it was worth the wait. Kevin’s proven track record and ability make him absolutely ideal to manage what iprism has quickly become. His experience will also help to continue rapidly scaling the business during 2008 and beyond."
iprism was founded in May last year. In recent months the company announced five separate strategic partnerships with aggregator Gocompare.com, high street intermediary Endsleigh, broker support network UKGI, 1 Answer Network and Europa.
In a statement the company said further substantial distribution deals are in the pipeline and will be announced in the coming months.
iprism compares rates from over 10 leading insurers, producing quotes for standard commercial risks in under two minutes. It also allows brokers to place SME business with major insurers with whom they may not have an agency agreement.
