The insurance sector in the South East has seen a recent surge in the filling of permanent job posts, according to the Alexander Lloyd Job Index. The number of vacancies filled increased by 83% in April, compared with the month before.
However, the company noted that "the fact insurance companies took in such a large indexed number of permanent employees suggests that with the present shortage of available trained, experienced or qualified candidates, they may be willing to take less experienced workers and train them up themselves".
It added that it is seeing "a lot of growth" in the insurance sector, but is still finding good candidates hard to find.
