Co-founder Perry Wilson retained as a consultant.
InsureandGo has appointed a new managing director as it seeks to grow in its existing and new markets over the next 12 months.
Gary Lockett has been hired to become managaing director, while Perry Wilson, the firm’s co-founder and managing director since it launched in 2000, is retained as a consultant.
Lockett has 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry, starting in the early 1980s. He spent 10 years between 1984-1994 at Crawley Warren & Company Ltd, a London based intermediary, rising to become a board director.
In 1994 he joined Rattner Mackenzie Ltd as a partner and became managing director in 2001. He has spent the last four years working in a number of consultative roles to both, insurance intermediaries and law firms as well as establishing property development and management companies.
Lockett said: “Over the past eight years InsureandGo has established itself as the UK’s leading direct travel insurance firm, with a strong brand identity, superb value products and a reputation for excellent customer service. We have exciting plans for the coming months and years, and I am looking forward to the challenge of delivering these and making the company even more successful than it already is.”
Perry Wilson said: “Gary is a first-class candidate with a track record of successfully managing insurance brokers. I’m very confident he is the right person to lead InsureandGo during the coming period as we seek to fulfil our ambitions for the company.”
