Norwich Union, Swinton and Joe Plumeri among the winners
Norwich Union was named General Insurer of the Year at the 2008 Insurance Times Awards, which took place last Friday evening at the Hilton Metropole hotel in Birmingham.
Other winners at the prestigious event included Cunningham Lindsey, Loss Adjuster of the Year; Fortis, Motor Insurer of the Year; Chubb, Personal Lines Insurer of the Year; and Hiscox, Commercial Lines Insurer of the Year.
Neil Grimshaw of Ravenhall Risk Solutions scored a double whammy, taking the gong for New Achiever of the Year and the Brokers’ Broker. Willis won National Broker of the Year and Higos Insurance Services was named Independent Regional Broker of the Year. Swinton took two prizes: Personal Lines Broker of the Year and Commercial Lines Broker of the Year.
Industry Achiever of the Year was awarded to Joe Plumeri of Willis and Patrick Smith of Swinton.
