The insurance industry is failing to take good health and safety records into account when setting employers' liability premiums, as promised under a pilot scheme.
According to a report, The British Printing Industries Federation, which piloted the scheme with the ABI, said its members had seen little difference in the way insurers determined premium levels for its members.
The ABI said it had never promised that the "Making the Market Work" scheme would deliver changes overnight.
The ABI set up the scheme, which accredits trade association health and safety policies, at the request of the Health and Safety Executive.
