Online SME start-up Broker2Broker has added IGI Group to its panel of insurers.

IGI will underwrite a range of products, including smaller packaged business for the retail sector, office premises, commercial and residential property owners.

Broker2Broker was established in November 2006 by SME Insurance Services to produce quick quotes for brokers dealing with SME business.

Neil Findley, sales and marketing director at IGI Group, said: “For brokers looking to place SME business, speedy access to wide markets for competitive quotes and the ability to place the risk and print off documentation instantaneously are fundamental."

Jason Gandy, joint managing director, Broker2Broker, commented: “IGI has a strong track record in the SME sector and so it's very positive news for our brokers that they have joined the B2Bi insurer panel.

“Our portal is free for brokers to use, however we are being selective. We have received a lot of interest over the past few weeks from both brokers and insurers, we have even been referred to as an alternative Imarket. We want to work with brokers who will support us and provide volume. Currently we are in discussions with insurers to widen our product range to include contractors, commercial legal expenses, mini fleet, personal accident and travel."
