Firm looking to bulk up its existing capacity
HSBC Insurance Brokers is on the hunt for aviation brokers to expand its current team, Insurance Times understands.
HSBC is close to completing the acquisition of a number of broker teams to complement its existing set-up.
The aviation team currently places insurance for brokers, airports, operational risks and reinsurance.
The deal would complete a busy month in the aviation recruitment market, after JLT poached Chris Clark, former Willis deputy chairman of aviation, and Giles Wilkinson, Willis divisional chairman. JLT has said it aims to boost its aviation team from 85 to 100.
An HSBC spokesman declined to comment.
