Insurer makes sennior underwriting appointments as part of broader growth plans
Engineering and construction insurer HSB Engineering Insurance (HSB) has made two senior appointments to its underwriting team in London.
Ian Nichol (above, right) has been appointed senior underwriter and construction product leader, and Andy Hogg has been appointed senior construction underwriter and UK & International construction team leader.
Nichol will undertake general underwriting as well as the development and management of HSB’s construction insurance proposition, including product development.
Prior to joining HSB he was underwriting manager for Allianz Engineering, where he was responsible for a team of UK underwriters and risk surveyors.
Hogg will focus on underwriting CAR and contractors’ plant business and has responsibility for the underwriting team looking after the UK & International construction account written within the London and Southeast region.
He was previously a senior construction underwriter at Aspen Insurance as well as holding role previous roles include construction underwriting for ACE Group and RSA.
