A former director of Holgate Insurance Brokers has been permanently suspended from entering or conducting business at Lloyd's.
Derek Wright was found guilty of four charges of misconduct from 1989 to 1996. He arranged for premiums totalling more than £66,000 to be paid to him personally instead of to Holgate, a non-Lloyd's insurance broker which operated under binding authorities.
He also used the company's client account to pay more than £15,000 of personal expenses and attempted to erase entries of more than £8,000 on Holgate's computer files.
