Heath Lambert Group's retail broking network HLA Global has won a contract with GTS Datanet, one of the largest telecoms carriers in central Europe.

Dr Peter Takats, managing director of HLA Global's Hungarian partner, Polip Insurance, led the bid. He will control the new contract from Budapest.

GTS Datanet provides telecom services in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Romania.

HLA Global said it had designed a regional insurance programme to replace the previously separate policies in each country, creating a more effective and efficient arrangement capable of coping with rapid expansion.
