Hiscox has started using a new insurance trading framework which enables brokers and insurers to conduct e-business securely.
The insurer, which focuses on specialist risks, has signed up with WISe (worldwide insurance e-commerce), which will allow it to make deals in a hacker-proof environment. The company has created an e-commerce taskforce to guide the business into the new millennium
"From the chairman to every last member of the group, at Hiscox we are determined to capitalise on the internet revolution," said Kevin Kerridge who is in charge of the taskforce. "The WISe deal is simply another building block in our drive to provide a better service to brokers and clients."
