Pilot sees 6,000 policies sold
Highway has launched a new home insurance product, Highway Choice Home, following a successful pilot during which over 6,000 policies were sold.
The product will be available via CDL with immediate effect.
Highway Choice Home is sum insured rated and includes contents, buildings and combined product offerings. While CDL is the first software house to feature the product on its broker system, it will be rolled out to other major software houses over the next few months.
Highway’s managing director Chris Hill said: “As a broker only insurer we are committed to providing a wide range of competitively priced products for the intermediary channel. Our decision to enter the household market is a logical one; we have an established distribution channel, we are a leading personal lines insurer and it fits with our overall growth strategy.”
Choice Home provides cover of up to £1million for buildings cover and £75,000 for contents, with a single article limit of £1,000.
Accidental damage, freezer cover and replacement locks in the event of loss are also included. In addition, Highway Choice Home customers will benefit from a specialist 24/7 claims reporting service ensuring the delivery of a first class customer experience.
