Heritage Insurance has been granted a captive management licence by the Jersey Services Commission.
It is the first Jersey based captive to focus solely on providing a dedicated captive insurance management service.
Richard Packman, the company's Jersey based director said: “There are lawyers and other professionals in Jersey with captive business that may have previously looked to other jurisdictions for these specialist insurance services.
“We intend to make use of the new protected and incorporated cell company legislation as a vehicle for captives, and we believe professionals that already prefer to use Jersey for their investment business will be encouraged to consider the island for their captive business as well.”
