The Helphire Group has opened a branch in Newcastle, bringing the total number of its UK regional offices up to 15.

The company said it had a further five branches due to open before the end of the year, and had plans to recruit staff both locally and nationally.

Rupert Llewellyn has been appointed to the newly created post of managing director, with responsibility for overseeing the group's national network of branches, as well as the purchase, maintenance of the company's fleet.

Llewellyn joins from Richard Lawson Autocare.
