Helphire drove back into profit after turnover increased by 85% to £23.7m in the six months to the end of September from £12.8m in the same period last year.
Pre-tax profit hit £1.8m for the period from a loss of £1.1m last year.
The group achieved an earnings per share figure of 1.57p, up from a loss per share of 98p last year.
Executive chairman Michael Symons put the company's better financial health down to a reorganisation last year and improving market conditions.
The group is planning to launch a version of its Theft Sure product directly to insurance companies and big brokers.
