Heath Lambert has won a contract with the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) to be the preferred insurance supplier to its 4,000 members.

As well as 4,000 members, the PFA also has 6,000 ex-members in the UK and abroad who, along with their families, will be offered personal lines products through Heath Lambert.

Under the deal, business from high net worth PFA members will be dealt with by Heath Lambert's private client business. The broker also had specialist divisions operating in the sports and entertainment sectors, said the company.

The contract was won through Heath Lambert Affinity Partnerships.

PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor said: “We have a very wide range of current and past members, living here and abroad and who are at different levels of the game.

"We needed a supplier that could deal well with the very different needs of our members, and we believe we have found it in Heath Lambert.”
