The Chartered Insurance Institute has awarded the Chartered Insurance Brokers’ title to Heartland Group.
Chartered status is only awarded to firms which meet rigorous criteria relating to professionalism and capability.
All Chartered insurance brokers commit to the CII’s Code of Ethics and Conduct reinforcing the highest standards of professional practice in their business dealings.
Brian Weetman, managing director of the Heartland Group, holds the individual Chartered Insurance Broker title along with two of his senior staff.
He said that securing Chartered Insurance Brokers status is a landmark for his company.
“We have always prided ourselves on being thoroughly professional in everything we do, and to receive external recognition in this way is very gratifying," he said.
"As Chartered Insurance Brokers, we can signal our commitment to the highest levels of service to our customers,” he added."
To date, less than 50 firms out of the 14,000 plus brokers authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority have achieved Chartered status.
