Groupama Insurances has significantly enhanced the cover, pricing and availability of Optima Bike – its tailored motorcycle insurance product - following a detailed review of the policy in 2006.
Now available to brokers and intermediaries via most major software houses, Optima Bike has been improved to appeal to a wider range of motorcyclists with cover for large bikes through to scooters, mopeds and smaller motorcycles. The product is lifestyle rated and can therefore be tailored to customers' individual circumstances.
Lynn Harris, Groupama's Head of Customer Proposition said: “Whilst we have been working on the re-launch of this product since August 2006, we are just entering the prime motorcycling season, making this the perfect time to launch the ‘new look' Optima Bike – providing brokers and intermediaries with a great sales opportunity.
“We have expanded our underwriting footprint substantially, but we expect to be particularly competitive for experienced riders over 25 wanting insurance for motorcycles over 400cc.
“We believe that the new level of standard cover offered by Optima Bike, combined with greater product access for our brokers and intermediaries will provide a winning proposition.”
The new, updated Optima Bike policy will be available from 1st March 2007.
