Green Insurance Folkestone director joins Biba as technical services manager

Biba has appointed Martin Bridges as its new technical services manager.

Bridges joins the trade body from Green Insurance where, as director, he oversaw the Folkestone office. He looked after a portfolio of larger business clients, including those involved in motor trade, care, food processing, manufacturing and haulage.

At Biba he will work with head of technical services Mike Hallam to provide technical support to members, Biba’s technical committees, schemes and Biba’s Manifesto objectives. Bridges has also been a member of Biba motor panel for nine years.

Biba chief executive Steve White said: “We are delighted that Martin has agreed to join the Biba team. He has worked closely with Biba for a long time, so fully understands our role. He brings a wealth of broking experience and knowledge that will be beneficial to our membership.”

Bridges started his career with Orion Insurance Company before going into broking. He joined Stennings as a director in 2000. The company was acquired by Green Insurance in 2009.
