GoshawK Insurance Holdings said preliminary bid talks held with several parties over the past few months had ended unsuccessfully.
The company, which was deemed to be in a bid period by the Takeover Panel, said none of the discussions had been substantive.
It added that its strategic review had been concluded following the resignation of chief executive Chris Fagan and the decision to focus on its Bermuda-based reinsurance business, GoshawK Re.
