Owen Gorman has been reunited with Simon Burley at start-up loss adjuster
Owen Gorman has joined Delta Claims Services as a director.
Gorman, previously a director at AMG and co-founder of Sigma Claims Solutions, is the first senior person to join the company since it was created in November 2008.
Gorman will work alongside Simon Burley, his former business partner and founder of Delta Claims Services, to develop the company.
"At the moment my priority is to help drive quality and a unique operational business model and to be actively involved in existing clients liability adjusting claims," said Gorman.
"However, once I am released from various covenants agreed with my former employer, Merlin, at the end of April, I will become more involved in business development activity."
Gorman began his career as a liability claims handler with The Guardian Royal Exchange in Belfast. Five years later he moved to Crawford & Company as a trainee liability adjuster. In 2003, he co-founded Sigma Claims Solutions and helped the company grow to £1 million turnover within three years. In May 2006, Gorman was involved in the acquisition of Sigma by AMG.
Simon Burley, director of Delta Claims Services, said: "Owen was my business partner when we started Sigma and it will be great to have him on board again.
"Owen is a well known figure in the market, a talented and respected liability adjuster, a fine leader as well as an enthusiastic and positive business man. From my perspective, it will be fantastic to have someone with his experience to assist in developing new ideas. We will be a far better company with Owen on board."
